This shot shows the clock and part of the sculptures which flank it which are located on the New York Central Building, now known as the Helmsley Building. The building is located on Park Avenue and is somewhat unique in that the ground floor consists of two tunnels which allow Park Avenue to flow underneath while heading toward Grand Central Terminal.
The image was created by blending a sepia toned layer with a color layer to create a mostly sepia image with a bit of color, especially in the hands of the clock.

I'm a photographer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I see my work as less of that of a photographer and more of a photographic artist. My images originate from a camera, but I will use whatever means are necessary to create a finished work of art that appeals to me. I have a great love of architecture and design and my images try to emphasize a graphical nature of whatever subject I may be working with. All images Copyright © James W. Howe - All rights reserved.
