Artist's Description

This year (2013) is the 100th anniversary of Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Some people refer to this as Grand Central Station, but in railroad terms, a station is different than a terminal and this is technically a terminal. The building also has a logo which is a monogram of GCT. This shot is a long exposure taken without benefit of a tripod. The camera was resting on the ledge of a stairway landing. The idea was to capture the perpetual motion in the terminal building.

About James Howe

James Howe

I'm a photographer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I see my work as less of that of a photographer and more of a photographic artist. My images originate from a camera, but I will use whatever means are necessary to create a finished work of art that appeals to me. I have a great love of architecture and design and my images try to emphasize a graphical nature of whatever subject I may be working with. All images Copyright © James W. Howe - All rights reserved.
