Artist's Description

This picture shows the top of the Jeweler's Building in Chicago, Illinois. The building is currently known as 35 Wacker and houses the architectural firm JAHN. The top floor of the building is where the original Stratosphere Lounge was located and was also rumored to be a speakeasy operated by Al Capone during prohibition. The building was featured in some scenes from the 2005 film 'Batman Begins'.

About James Howe

James Howe

I'm a photographer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I see my work as less of that of a photographer and more of a photographic artist. My images originate from a camera, but I will use whatever means are necessary to create a finished work of art that appeals to me. I have a great love of architecture and design and my images try to emphasize a graphical nature of whatever subject I may be working with. All images Copyright © James W. Howe - All rights reserved.
