Description
The upper Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan's Upper Peninsula are the second largest in North America east of the Mississippi. The distinctive color comes from the decaying cypress trees found upriver from the falls. The falls are a great site to see any time of the year. The long exposure for this shot creates a silky look to the falls and highlights the interesting patterns of foam that occur down river of the falls.
